Philosophy of Care

As regards birth, God gives women the ability to give birth naturally. Special care must be taken to protect the natural physiology of pregnancy and birth. A woman’s family and loved ones should be included in her pregnancy and birth cycle to the extent that she desires. The midwife should respect the cultural expressions of the woman and family. The role of the midwife is to guard the birth, and her presence should make the women feel safe. Home birth with trained providers is best suited to fulfill this philosophy of care for the low risk woman.
